In the world of Intelligence, in the search for truth, it is difficult to distinguish reality from a reflection of it, an illusion if you will, as if one were in a “Hall of Mirrors.” During a Martian dialogue in a discussion with Dr. Blake, the acronym “OBE” is incorrectly explained as “Overtaken By Events”. government agencies, including the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense, the correct/official explanation of the acronym “OBE” is “Overcome By Events”. Former CIA Director of Counterintelligence, James Jesus Angleton, also known as the “spy poet”, described the intelligence game as “Wilderness of Mirrors”, which was a phrase borrowed from a T.S. Eliot poem called Gerontion (the title is Greek for “little old man” and the poem is an interior monologue recounting the opinions and impressions of an old man, describing Europe after World War I through the eyes of a man who lived most of his life in the 19th century). In the world of intelligence, in the search for truth, it is difficult to distinguish the difference between reality and its reflection, an illusion if you will, as if you were in a “Hall of Mirrors”.. I have to say that I was lucky enough to have re-watched The Bureau a couple of years ago and, honestly, it is probably one of the best things I have ever seen.

You will not regret it

Up to this point, nothing was even remotely similar. There is a correlation between the two series, obviously it has been said that it was “influenced” by this, but to be honest I did not expect a similar plot. Don’t get me wrong, the series up to this point is fantastic, great cast, good photography, but it wasn’t something I hadn’t already seen in the French version. It is too early to say how it will end, but I highly recommend anyone who has not watched The Bureau to watch it.

It’s not something you would watch while riding a bike on an indoor trainer

After Fassbender played a professional killer in David Fincher’s The Killer, and I saw that he was in the cast, I immediately knew he was a great choice for the role. Those kinds of shows actually require you to be focused while watching them, so you can keep up with all the characters in the plot and the little details about them. Some might even call them slow, maybe even boring, but those characteristics and those complicated personal struggles that the characters have, plus the slow buildup of tension, are what make them great in my opinion. You either love those kinds of shows or you don’t like them at all, there’s no in-between.
